I have been reading through Paul's letters the past few weeks and am struck by how he had sent some of his most beloved companions, Timothy, Titus, Apollos, Prisca and Aquila to perform works of ministry in places where churches had begun. I wonder if Paul, when surveying the landscape in who was left with him after being abandoned by some and sending out his workers ("Only Luke is with me" -- 2 Tim 4:11)was discouraged a bit with having to start over. But after Paul's small diatribe of discouragement he says "But the Lord stood with me and strengthened me..."(2 Tim 4:17). Can you imagine, the Lord God omnipentent, maker of heaven and earth, the Alpha and the Omega, the great "I am" stood with Paul. What grace, what love...The Lord is with you too Rob and many of the saints that have been blessed and trained by Serinissima are praying for you.
